Finished promor desktop for Son of Colin, the Colin one is complete while the Astronaut one requires a little more work before it's done. Just needs a bit more noodling on the details and for the 'concept sketches' to be completed by Luke and dropped in on the left side.
Nice work. I assume the tonal similaities are intentional. Like the yellow/brownish/whitish mix. Thought the Astronauts would have backpacks, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to keep all the coloures fairly bold and bright, keeping it in contrast with the way I normally paint stuff. The Colin and 'nauts are distinct in size, character sillouhette and colour scheme enough that sharing a similar shade of yellow doesn't bother me. As for the lack of backpacks, that's 'cause they store their oxygen in balloons attached to their suits. They're a technologically advanced, peaceful spacefaring race, which is why they are totally unsuited to fighting the dinosaurs. They give it their best anyway.
